Sculpt B’ham

There is no where like Sculpt!! Love love love this gym!! I was initially drawn to Sculpt (and continue my membership) because of how unique, welcoming, and energizing the atmosphere is. All of the trainers and the owners are laid back and authentic. I have built great rapport with other clients that come in at the same time as me each week and enjoy seeing their smiling faces. Cant imagine my week-to-week without this place! Everyone needs a gym like this in their city. ^^^I even walked by dog past the gym one day and when I stopped to say hey, she was warmly greeted!!

Sculpt is a great 24 hour gym in downtown Birmingham! They aesthetic was great, and I appreciate that they have key fobs to get into the gym making it very secure! They had everything you need for a great workout! My boyfriend and I are bodybuilders and we throughly enjoyed our workout and the vibe of the gym! The owners are super friendly and really take pride in their facility! Definitely worth a visit!!

I want to give Sculpt 5 stars but after being a member for almost a year I’ve seen a lot I’m not thrilled with. The equipment itself and the variety of equipment is great, no complaints there. But the facility itself is lacking severely. Parts of the floor are broken all over the gym, the bathroom is super dark, the dressing room is also really dark with broken floors as well. I know that they can’t control who is outside the gym but having to dodge homeless people left and right while coming into the gym is a major con. I’ve also experienced moments with the staff and the owners that made me very uncomfortable. Talking bad about other staff members, or clients, in front of me. As a single woman, I really only loved the gym when it was just women in there because every time I came and there were men, a creepy guy would stare at me while I worked out. I know this is common but for it to happen every single time I work out at the same place is really frustrating. Some tips I would give would be to expand areas for stretching, have hours and not make the gym 24/7, have designated parking, and educate staff (including owners) on being professional in front of clients/members. Also pay your staff more!!!! I ultimately left because Abbie my trainer left, and she is worth following.

I really love this gym! I always feel motivated to work hard. They have a great selection of machines and weights. The other gym-goers don't make you feel weird to work out around them. The owners are awesome and really support our community. The trainers are great, and everyone is helpful if you have a question about an exercise or machine. I would say it's a "no frills" gym, but at the same time they have all the accessories and extra equipment (bands, balls, blocks, tables) that I like to work out with, plus awesome artwork and music. I also like their keyfob entry: it makes me feel safer downtown to have that extra security.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sculpt! The people are great, the trainers are top notch and so very knowledgable and they gym itself is amazing with a great feel. As a single older female I have always felt safe and welcomed by all there, which is not always the case in previous gyms! Highly recommend!
